Happy Independence Day, Grenada! (a few days late!) :)
This week is an unusual week - Monday was the day before Independence Day, so that's when we celebrated it at school with "dress-down". (which means to dress up!) Some of the kids' outfits were bright enough to hurt a person's eyes!

Mmmm...oildown - the national dish. Love it!
It consists of dumplings, breadfruit, fig, callalloo, chicken, pig tail, carrots, and sometimes some other vegetables, cooked together in coconut milk.
My adorable class (then again, I might be slightly prejudice.)
I decided to get festive this year and make an Independence Day dress. I won't be wearing it more than once a year though! :)
